Requirements/competencies:
- Must have a friendly, empathetic and outgoing personality to fit in with the positive energy of the pharmacy team; we are looking for someone who is passionate, curious by nature and loves to learn new things
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required
- Have a passion for providing great customer service to our customers and the diverse set of professionals in our health care team
- Must be self-directed with the ability to work both independently and collaborate with the pharmacy team.
- Candidate must have strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and have excellent organizational skills
- Ability to engage in the problem-solving process to provide ideas and insight.
- Experience with PharmaclikRx/Propel Rx software is a Strong ASSET**
- Must adhere to all confidentiality and privacy requirements
- Must have experience in Ontario retail pharmacy
Job description
- Data entry for new prescriptions, and managing refill request processing, adjudicate claim to Third Party payor. Review and adjust third party adjudication records
- Filling prescriptions
- Ensure prescriptions are prioritized correctly in accordance with the workflow
- Filling blister packs
- Managing customer inquiries both in-person and over the phone
- Ensure that documentation of technical tasks is detailed and accurate
- Follow all provincial and federal laws, standards and regulations which govern the practice of pharmacy at all times
- Support the pharmacists with the execution of patient-focused services such as MedsChecks, pharmaceutical opinions, immunizations, minor ailments, etc.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities
Schedule:
- Part-time hours with flexible shedule of approximately 20-30 hours per week
- One evening shift per week (12-8pm)
- One weekend every 5 weeks
