Woodwind & Brass Teachers – Private In-Home Lessons (Abbotsford, Aldergrove, Mission, Chilliwack)

Front Door Music Lessons is a new Fraser Valley music company bringing private, one-on-one lessons into students’ homes. We’re looking for skilled, reliable woodwind and brass teachers (saxophone, flute, clarinet, trumpet, trombone, and more) to join our first group of teachers.

What you’ll do

- Teach private lessons (45 or 60 minutes) in students’ homes, all ages and levels
- Support school band students with their band repertoire, technique, and tone, and help them prepare for auditions, honour bands, and performances
- Tailor lessons to each student’s goals, from beginner fundamentals to jazz, concert, and solo work
- Record each lesson using camera equipment we provide, and contribute to short progress updates for families

What we offer

- Competitive per-lesson pay, with rates that grow with your experience and as the company grows
- Lessons grouped by area and day, so you’re not driving across the valley between students
- No studio rent, no marketing, no chasing payments. We handle bookings, billing,

and families.
- Paid monthly
- $100 referral bonus for every student you bring in
- Flexible, part time work that fits around gigs, school, or other teaching

What we’re looking for

- Strong skills on your primary instrument and teaching experience, whether formal training or years of real-world teaching
- Ability to teach more than one instrument is a bonus, but not required
- Patient, reliable, and good with kids and parents
- Reliable vehicle and willingness to travel within the Fraser Valley
- Willing to complete a criminal record check and vulnerable sector check

How to apply
Send a short note about your teaching experience and which instruments you teach, plus a link to a video of you playing (a phone video is fine). That’s it. Shortlisted applicants will have a quick phone call, then a mock lesson.

This is an independent contractor position.

Pay: $46.00-$51.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3.0 – 20.0 per week

Work Location: On the road
