LIFEFORM Furniture is a high end office furniture and accessory manufacturer. We build customized ergonomic office and gaming chairs and distribute to end users and distributors all over the world. We’ve been in business in Calgary since 1976. We are looking for a person to fill our General Labour and Packaging position who will be responsible to perform all of the following duties.

JOB SUMMARY:

The General Labour and Packaging Associate performs a variety of tasks to ensure the efficient and effective management of packaging and shipping activities. The position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills; planning, organization and multi-tasking ability, attention to detail, as well as computer skills.

Position Responsibilities

- Check orders - verify information
- Carefully package and label customer orders
- Organize and load shipping trailer for cross-border shipment when needed
- Load, organize and prepare pallets for shipping
- Ship outgoing Canadian and International customer orders
- Maintain and organize stock and shipping areas
- Maintain regular communication with Production Manager, Quality Control, Purchaser and Office Staff
- Identifying process improvement opportunities
- Ensure protected and efficient operations are maintained
- Ensures proper maintenance of packaging equipment and restocking materials




- Report any damage of equipment or shipments to Production Manager
- Maintains a clean, organized and safe warehouse environment
- Manage relationships with Customer Delivery and Courier Personelle
- Occasionally receive shipments
- Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
- Must be in good physical condition
- Good computer skills and ability to learn new programs
- Attention to detail required
- Ability to multi task
- Organizational skills are critical, including maintaining a clean workspace
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, organized and positive environment
- Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and slide items/packages that typically weigh up to 50 Lbs, and may weigh up to 70 Lbs
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-motivated and work well in a team environment
- Able to work unsupervised
- Must have flexible schedule, some overtime may be required
- Fork Lift experience an asset

Hours: Monday to Thursday (7:00 AM to 4:00 PM), Friday (7:00 AM to 1:00 PM)

Average 34 - 45 hours per week
