We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Banquet Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals for large events and banquets, ensuring all dishes meet our standards of taste, presentation, and food safety. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of banquet-style dishes according to menu specifications and quality standards
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and assembling ingredients for service
- Ensure all food is cooked to proper temperatures and presented attractively
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Follow recipes accurately and manage portion control to minimize waste
- Collaborate with the catering team to coordinate meal service during events
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and notify management when supplies need replenishing
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations related to food handling and kitchen operations
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service, preferably within a restaurant or catering environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Strong skills in meal preparation and kitchen operations
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent serving skills with attention to presentation details
- Familiarity with the food industry’s best practices for sanitation and safety
- Previous experience with banquet or large-scale event catering is a plus
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings as needed
