Production Manager, Pretty Good Painting (Whistler)

Pretty Valuable Painting is growing across the Sea to Sky Corridor, and we're looking for an experienced Production Manager to run our Whistler operation. We do residential, strata, and commercial painting, plus wallpaper and wood restoration, and our reputation depends on the work being done right and on schedule.

The role

You'll own the production side of the Whistler location from the first site visit to the final walkthrough. You'll lead our supervisors and crews, keep jobs profitable and on time, and be the person clients, strata managers, and builders trust to get it done. You'll report directly to ownership.

What you'll do

- Own the Whistler production calendar, balancing crew capacity, weather, and client deadlines
- Lead and develop site supervisors and lead painters, including training, feedback, and performance reviews
- Work with estimators on quotes, checking scope, timelines, and labour needs
- Track budgeted vs. actual hours and materials to protect job margins




- Be the main contact for strata councils, property managers, and commercial clients
- Oversee quality control: prep standards, finish quality, and walkthroughs
- Lead hiring for seasonal and permanent crew
- Enforce WorkSafeBC compliance and keep safety documentation current
- Coordinate material ordering and equipment needs with the office team
- Report weekly to ownership on pipeline, capacity, and issues

What we're looking for

- 5+ years in construction management, including 2+ years leading crews or sites
- Robust knowledge of interior/exterior prep, coatings, and finishing standards
- Experience with strata, multi-unit, or commercial projects
- Confident scheduling, budgeting, and client communication
- A leader who earns respect on site and holds a high standard without micromanaging
- Valid BC driver's licence;
- Comfortable with scheduling and job-tracking software and basic spreadsheets

Pay: $60,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
