Job Title Accenture Construct - MEP Field Specialist, COM
Location Toronto, ON CA (Primary)
Category Job Type Full-time THE WORK: You've Never Been Satisfied with “Good Enough.” You didn't get into this to manage one piece of a project. You got into it to change how the world gets built.
At Accenture Construct, that's the job. You'll help deliver the data centers, power grids, rail networks, factories and public infrastructure that keep communities moving — smarter, safer and more sustainably.
You'll work alongside people who think big and act bold: project managers, engineers, technologists and strategists who pair real-world delivery with AI. And you won't be handed a slice of it. We take on whole programs, from early strategy through construction and handover, and we stand behind how they land.
Because “good enough” builds the past. You're here to build what's next.

Reporting to the MEP Project Manager, you will represent the client on-site, overseeing contractors and daily Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) construction activities to ensure work is executed safely, meets quality standards, and complies with project requirements.
Oversee and support contractor execution planning, work packaging, quantity verification, technical inspections, testing, and handover processes.
The role includes monitoring progress, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance delivery performance.
Maintain timely and accurate reporting, including daily, weekly, and monthly construction updates, ensuring transparency and alignment across project stakeholders.

and provide technical guidance.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, optimize schedules, and recommend enhancements to Project/Construction Management.
Quantities & Progress Tracking
Verify on-site MEP quantities against Contractor tracking systems or other databases to ensure accuracy.
Review and manage daily, weekly, and monthly MEP construction plans and report progress quantities.
Ensure proper documentation of work completion to support reporting, invoicing, and handover.
Safety & Quality Control
Champion zero-accident philosophy and enforce adherence to safety requirements for all MEP activities.
Monitor field safety performance during mechanical, electrical, and plumbing operations, ensuring compliance with site procedures.
Conduct daily site inspections to ensure safe, organized, and compliant work areas, including housekeeping, access control, and hazard mitigation.
Promote quality awareness, ensuring MEP personnel are trained, hazards are identified, and work meets contractual and design specifications.
Technical Oversight & Learning
Provide technical guidance on MEP installations, inspections, and testing procedures.
Support continuous professional development through training, learning activities, and knowledge sharing.
System Turnover Coordination
Assist site teams with verification of MEP work completion against design requirements.
Support the management of quality documentation, including non-conformance reports (NCRs) and as-built verification, to enable timely package closeout.
Review and approve MEP inspection and test plans (ITPs), ensuring compliance with project standards.
Coordinate with contractors to ensure successful execution, inspection, and handover of MEP systems.
Working Conditions
Office-based and in office
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or international equivalent) with 2–5 years of relevant MEP experience, or 6–9 years of relevant MEP work experience in lieu of a degree.
Experience supporting Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) construction activities, including installation oversight, quality control, testing, and handover processes.
Prior experience in rail, metro, or large-scale building projects is preferred.
Experience in railway or metro infrastructure projects, with strong understanding of MEP delivery, operational interfaces, and coordination with live infrastructure.
In-depth knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, lighting, plumbing, fire protection, and associated controls, and ability to assess performance, verify compliance, and support installation, testing, and commissioning.
Understanding construction sequencing, MEP installation methods,
quality assurance, inspection procedures, and how MEP systems integrate with architectural, structural, civil, and rail works; ability to identify and resolve clashes and support constructability reviews.
Proficiency in BIM/CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and Navisworks for design review, coordination, and clash detection.
Solid knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering principles and their application in multi-disciplinary rail projects.
Awareness of environmental compliance, sustainability practices, industry quality standards, and documentation requirements.
Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, databases) and digital reporting platforms.
The data centers behind AI. The grid behind the energy transition. The rail, water and airports everything else runs on.
