About the Position

SMS Appliances is seeking a reliable, hands-on, and motivated Appliance Service Technician to join our growing team.

Experience repairing major household appliances is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who has a genuine interest in learning about appliances, understanding how they work, and developing the skills needed to diagnose, repair, and install them.

The successful candidate will receive training in appliance repair, installation, and service work. This includes visiting new construction sites and other job locations, assisting with appliance installations in current homes and residential buildings, working with builders and site teams, and providing ongoing appliance service, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

This position also involves performing in-shop repairs at our warehouse when required, delivering appliances to customers, picking up products and parts from suppliers and partner locations, transporting scrap appliances for recycling or disposal, and assisting with receiving shipments and organizing inventory at our warehouse, and stores when needed.

We are looking for someone who enjoys hands-on work, is mechanically inclined, likes learning how things work, and is interested in building a long-term career in the appliance service field.

Previous appliance repair and retail experience are not required. A positive attitude, reliability, willingness to learn, problem-solving skills,

- Visit current construction sites and other job locations to assist with appliance installation projects.
- Assist with installing and testing appliances in new homes, multi-unit residential buildings, and other construction projects.
- Learn to work with builders, contractors, site supervisors, and property managers to complete installation and service work.
- Provide ongoing appliance service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair support at assigned sites.
