Description

Reporting to the IT Operations Manager, the Application Developer is responsible for working within the Development Team to organize the design, development, implementation, and support of all relevant applications including integrations to third party systems. With their excellent multitasking and collaboration skills, the Application Developer is involved throughout the entire life cycle of high complexity projects including, but not limited to: research and analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, training, documentation, and following and evolving standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

- Knowledge sharing with the Development Team
- Web Services: SAP Commerce (Hybris)
- Develop, implement, test, and document changes to SAP Commerce (Hybris)
- Maintain and update integration of SAP Commerce (Hybris) with internal and 3 party systems
- Manage deployment to production systems
- Troubleshoot and bug fixing SAP Commerce (Hybris) related issues
- Collaborates with support teams to ensure complex issues are resolved in a timely manner
- Develop interfaces with 3 party applications
- Support all intranet sites and all web-based applications
- Works with team members to ensure application designs are in line with best practices and are scalable, reliable, and that all designs optimize performance and usability.
- Staying current with technologies and providing recommendations
- Participate in projects as needed
- Work cooperatively and effectively with other employees and colleagues.
- Represent Schluter Systems in a positive, professional, and enthusiastic manner in all matters
- Adhere to company policies and protocols
- After hours support and maintenance as necessary
- Travel as necessary




- Produce project estimates (man hours, timeline, cost etc.)

Competencies

- BA or BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other related fields
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a related position
- Bilingual, both oral and written
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge and experience pertaining to the following: HTML, PHP, XML, .NET, JavaScript, JQuery, CSS, Angular, Java, Groovy, JEE2, Spring, ImpEx, IntelliJ IDE, MS SQL & MySQL
- General networking knowledge, scrum master certification, and/or basic ITIL certification an asset
- Experience working in a development team with shared code base and version control systems
- Ability to work within Agile project methodologies an asset
- Ability to work both autonomously and within a team
- Proven ability to prioritize, multi-task, and maintain a high level of organization
- Ability to adhere to defined processes and procedures and suggest improvements
