POSITION DESCRIPTION: ASSISTANT MANAGER

Position Summary

The Assistant Manager supports the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional guest service, consistent food quality, and high standards of cleanliness. The role contributes to achieving operational and financial goals, maintaining company standards, and developing a motivated, high-performing team while consistently exceeding guest expectations.

Qualifications

· Minimum of two years of experience in a related field, or an equivalent business diploma or degree.

· Demonstrated leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead a diverse, guest-focused team in a fast-paced environment.

· Ability to understand financial statements, support operational improvements, and contribute to the restaurant’s business performance.

· Schedule flexibility: Must be available to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on restaurant operational needs.

· Experience or demonstrated ability in team recruitment, training, coaching, and development.

· A valid driver’s licence and regular access to a vehicle are required.

Key Responsibilities

· Support daily restaurant operations and ensure company standards, policies, and procedures are followed.





· Assist with recruiting, training, coaching, scheduling, and inspiring team members while promoting a safe and respectful workplace.

· Maintain high standards of guest service, food quality, speed of service, and restaurant cleanliness.

· Monitor inventory, food and labour costs, cash handling, and operating expenses; report concerns and variances to management.

· Implement promotions and operational initiatives while maintaining service and quality standards.

· Resolve guest concerns and operational issues promptly, escalating matters when appropriate.

· Ensure health, safety, food-safety, and workplace requirements are consistently met.

· Communicate operational results, staffing needs, and opportunities for improvement to the Restaurant Manager and Franchise Owner.

Reports to: Restaurant Manager and Franchise Owner

Role Expectations

The Assistant Manager is expected to lead by example, demonstrate accountability and professionalism, and support the restaurant in delivering consistent guest experiences, maintaining operating standards, and achieving strong business results.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
