Role Description The BIM Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Ottawa, ON. This role is responsible for coordinating Building Information Modeling (BIM) across project teams, ensuring models are accurate, integrated, and compliant with office and project standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing BIM workflows, setting up and maintaining project BIM models, supporting architects and MEP consultants with model coordination, and resolving clashes and technical issues.

The BIM Coordinator collaborates closely with project managers to align model development with project schedules and deliverables, assists with documentation standards, and provides guidance and training to team members on BIM tools and best practices.



The role also involves quality control reviews of digital models and drawing outputs to support efficient, high-quality project delivery.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess robust BIM Coordination and Building Information Modeling (BIM) skills, including experience managing multi-disciplinary models.
- Candidates should possess Architecture-related skills, with knowledge of design workflows, construction documentation, and coordination with design teams.
- Candidates should possess Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) coordination skills, including experience working with consultants to identify and resolve clashes.
- Candidates should possess Project Management-related skills, such as organizing tasks, monitoring model deliverables, and supporting project timelines.
- Proficiency with industry-standard BIM software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360 or similar platforms).
- Experience applying BIM standards, protocols, and naming conventions on complex projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and model accuracy.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to support and train project team members.
- Relevant education in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field; professional experience in an architectural or design firm is preferred.
