Movac Mobile Vacuum Services is seeking an experienced Boiler Operator to join our team for field-based work in the Fort McMurray area, starting in November.

This opportunity is ideal for a safety-focused, dependable operator who takes pride in their equipment, works well independently, and is committed to maintaining effective and reliable site operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and monitor a 120 HP boiler at a disposal facility, maintaining required water temperatures. No turbine operation is involved.
- Support day-to-day disposal facility operations, including spotting equipment and rinsing vessels.
- Operate a rubber-tire backhoe as required.
- Complete daily safety documentation, including pre-trip inspections and Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHAs).
- Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
- Work independently while maintaining efficient and consistent operations.
- Follow all company policies, site-specific procedures, and applicable safety requirements.





Qualifications & Requirements

- ABSA 4th Class Power Engineer certification or recognized equivalency, or Class 5 Boiler Certification (5th Class Power Engineering)
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence; a commercial driver's licence is preferred
- Valid industry safety tickets, including Standard First Aid with CPR Level C, H2S Alive, and CSO
- Previous excavating or skid steer operating experience is considered an asset - a training course will be provided upon employment
- Strong commitment to workplace safety, equipment care, and reliable job performance
- Ability to work independently in a field-based environment
