Position: Breakfast Attendant

Schedule: Early morning shifts, including weekends and holidays as required

About the Position

Residence Inn by Marriott Halifax Downtown is looking for a friendly, reliable, and service-oriented Breakfast Attendant to join our team. The successful candidate will help provide a welcoming breakfast experience for our guests by maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked breakfast area while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

- Set up the breakfast area before service, ensuring food, beverages, utensils, and supplies are ready.
- Greet guests warmly and provide friendly, qualified service.
- Replenish food and beverages throughout breakfast service.
- Monitor food presentation, freshness, and appropriate serving temperatures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the breakfast area, tables, counters, and service stations.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
- Wash dishes and utensils and maintain a clean kitchen and work area.
- Complete opening and closing duties according to hotel standards.
- Monitor breakfast supplies and report shortages to the appropriate team member.
- Respond to guest questions and requests promptly and professionally.
- Work collaboratively with the Front Desk,



Housekeeping, and other hotel departments.

Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience in hospitality, food service, or customer service is an asset.
- Friendly attitude and strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good time-management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work early morning shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is an asset.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical duties, including lifting supplies as required.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
