Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Cashier/Customer Service representative to join our retail team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, handling transactions efficiently while providing exceptional service. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be proficient in POS systems, and have a passion for delivering a positive shopping experience.

Bilingual abilities and experience in technology sales or product demos are a plus, helping to enhance customer engagement and sales opportunities.

Responsibilities

- Greet customers warmly and assist with their inquiries in a skilled manner
- Operate POS systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and maintain accurate cash handling procedures
- Provide product information and perform product demos when applicable
- Upsell products and services to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain organized merchandising displays to enhance the shopping environment
- Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and well-stocked
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members to ensure smooth store operations




- Manage time efficiently during busy periods to minimize wait times
- Uphold excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via other communication channels

Qualifications

- Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred; customer service background is a plus
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish) are advantageous
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for cash handling
- Ability to perform product demos and engage customers through upselling techniques
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in merchandising and transaction processing
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Friendly demeanor with strong phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings if required
- Prior experience in technology sales or merchandising is beneficial but not mandatory

Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 per week
