Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Civil Litigation Lawyer to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent research abilities, and a thorough understanding of civil law procedures. This role involves representing clients in civil disputes, preparing legal documents, and negotiating settlements.

The Civil Litigation

Lawyer will play a vital role in advocating for clients' rights and ensuring effective resolution of cases through strategic litigation and negotiation.

Duties

- Manage and oversee civil litigation cases from inception to resolution, including filing pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Draft and review legal documents, including complaints, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements with precision and clarity.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
- Develop case strategies by analyzing facts, evidence, and applicable laws to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their objectives and provide sound legal advice throughout the litigation process.
- Negotiate settlements effectively while maintaining professional integrity and client interests.
- Stay updated on changes in civil law statutes and precedents that may impact ongoing cases.

Qualifications





- Minimum 3–5 years of civil litigation experience
- Licensed and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
- Experience appearing before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice
- Robust drafting, advocacy, and negotiation skills
- Excellent organizational and client management skills
- Proven experience in civil litigation, with a strong track record of managing complex cases.
- Excellent negotiation skills to facilitate favourable settlements.
- Proven ability to carry files independently with minimal supervision
- Strong research capabilities combined with exceptional writing skills for drafting legal documents.
- Ability to analyze case facts critically and develop effective legal strategies.
- Outstanding communication skills for client interaction and courtroom advocacy.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.

This position offers an opportunity for a motivated legal professional to contribute meaningfully to our firm’s success while advancing their career in civil litigation law. Pay: $90,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
