About the Role

We’re hiring a Construction Manager to lead our work in the field. You’ll run day-to-day operations on our active construction sites: crews, schedules, safety, quality and site-level costs. You’ll report to our VP and President and act as our in office leader with site supervisors, subcontractors, suppliers and general contractors. This is a hands-on, site-focused role. Most of your week will be spent on job sites, not in the office.

What You’ll Do

- Oversee daily operations on assigned construction sites from mobilization through closeout.
- Supervise site supervisors, foremen and field crews, and coordinate labour across sites.
- Build and maintain site schedules and look-aheads, and resolve scheduling conflicts.
- Coordinate materials, equipment and subcontractors so sites stay productive.
- Lead site safety: toolbox talks, inspections, incident investigations and corrective actions.
- Conduct QA/QC checks and site walks, track deficiencies, and see them through to resolution.
- Track labour hours, material usage and production against targets, and report cost concerns.
- Identify change orders, extras,



delays and site risks, and escalate them to the President.
- Keep accurate site documentation: daily reports, photos, inspection records and timesheets.
- Build strong working relationships with general contractors and consultants on site.

What You Bring

- 5+ years of construction experience, including 2+ years in a site supervision or construction management role.
- Strong working knowledge of the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations for Construction Projects.
- Proven ability to lead crews and subcontractors and keep multiple sites on schedule.
- Comfortable reading drawings and specifications.
- Organized, accountable and calm under pressure.
- Good communication skills with field crews, the office and clients.
- Valid Ontario G driver’s licence.
- Working at Heights and supervisor health and safety training are assets.

Work Details

- Based out of our office at 140 McGovern Dr, Unit 10, Cambridge, ON, with daily travel to sites in Ontario.
- Regular 44-hour work week. Early mornings, evenings or weekends may be needed based on project demands.

Pay: $95,000.00 per year
