BlackBay is hiring a qualified expert in construction management to oversee multi unit residential and commercial construction projects in New Brunswick from start to finish.

Applicants must have in depth knowledge of construction building, materials, construction specifications, construction law, building codes, safety and quality management. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and enjoy working with people. You will be responsible for organizing and managing daily construction site activities, and ensuring the project stays on track while maintaining the highest quality of standards, and a secure workplace.

You will report directly to company directors and will oversee, implement, and manage the complete construction project from start to finish.

Your role will include acting as the go to management position for all construction trades, inspectors, labourers etc. You will be the lead on the project regularly providing updates to the directors on budgets and costs, construction progress, and safety. You will be the point of contact for all trades and ensure work is being completed on time, and on budget.

Responsibilities:





- Managing and organize trades from start to finish on time and on budget.
- Obtain quotes from contractors, suppliers and trades.
- Plan ahead to ensure efficiency and zero down time of all construction related matters.
- Keep the job site clean and organized inside and out.
- Ensure safety, quality and efficiency of the job site.
- Maintain a strong relationship with trades, inspectors and all personal related to the job.
- Financial management knowledge to respect budgets, costs and associated purchasing.

Qualifications:

- 5+ years in multi unit residential construction/management, or related field
- Strong negotiation, time management, communication, problem solving and organization skills
- Lead the construction site with a positive attitude
- Valid drivers license
- Leadership in health and safety

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
