Role Description The Data Engineering Automation Engineer 1 is a full-time remote role responsible for supporting the design, development, and maintenance of automated data workflows and systems. This role includes building and monitoring data pipelines, integrating data from multiple sources, and implementing automation to improve reliability and reduce manual effort.

The engineer will collaborate with senior data engineers, software developers, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements, configure process controls, and ensure accurate, timely data delivery. Day-to-day activities involve troubleshooting automation issues,



optimizing performance, documenting processes, and participating in code reviews and testing. The role also supports continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to standardized practices and tools that enhance data engineering efficiency across projects.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues across data pipelines, automation scripts, and integrated systems.
- Candidates should possess skills in process control and automation, including experience with control logic, workflow orchestration, and automated monitoring or alerting.
- Candidates should possess a foundation in electrical engineering or related technical disciplines that support understanding of control systems, sensors, and hardware–software interactions.
- Candidates should possess exposure to robotics or similar automated systems, including integration, configuration, or support of robotic or automated equipment.
- Beneficial qualifications include experience with data engineering tools (e.g., ETL frameworks, SQL, Python), familiarity with cloud platforms, and knowledge of API integrations.
- Robust analytical and communication skills, ability to work independently in a remote environment, and effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams are essential.
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
