Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to work with us not for us! The hours will be Monday or Tuesday and Thursday 4-8 and Fridays 10-4 and Saturdays if interested. Great opportunity for someone looking to work part time, or to pick up a few extra hours!

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team, ensuring that patients receive the highest quality care in a comfortable environment. This position requires a blend of clinical and administrative skills, making it essential for candidates to be well-versed in various dental procedures and administration.

Responsibilities

- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient procedures, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist.
- Maintain accurate patient records using Tracker software system.




- Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
- Manage appointment scheduling, including follow-ups and reminders for patients.
- Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and patient check-in/check-out processes.

Skills

- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and practices.
- Familiarity with dental software systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry.
- Experience in orthodontics or pediatrics is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.

Job Type: Part-time Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
