What You Bring to the Team:

- Education: Dental Assistant diploma from an accredited college.
- Certification: Valid HARP Certification is required.
- Experience: New grads welcome
- Safety & Compliance (Preferred): Knowledge of IPAC, WHMIS, and Ontario Health & Safety guidelines.
- Soft Skills: You are organized, efficient, a team player, and genuinely love working with people!

Duties

- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary supplies.
- Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when required.
- Manage patient records efficiently using dental software such as Epic or Dentrix.
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort.
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and updating patient information as a dental receptionist.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and sterilization standards.
- Support the team with lab duties including pouring models and fabricating temporary restorations if needed.
- Assist with patient education on oral health care and post-treatment instructions.

Skills

- Knowledge of dental assisting procedures and medical terminology.
- Familiarity with Cleardent dental software is an asset
- Experience or training in orthodontics, pediatrics, or CAD technology is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages.
- Ability to work well within a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn current techniques and expand professional skills.

Expected hours: 36.0 – 42.0 per week
