Role Description The DevOps Engineer in Platform 3 is a full-time remote role responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure to support Rockland Tech Hub’s platforms and client solutions. Day-to-day tasks include building and managing CI pipelines, automating infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and monitoring system performance and availability. The role involves collaborating with software development teams to improve deployment processes, optimize build and release workflows, and troubleshoot production issues across Linux-based environments.

The DevOps Engineer will also contribute to best practices for system administration, security, observability,



and documentation to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery.

Qualifications

- Strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar) and experience automating cloud or on-premise infrastructure.
- Hands-on Software Development experience (e.g., Python, Go, Java, or similar) to build tools, scripts, and integrations that support DevOps workflows.
- Practical knowledge of Continuous Integration practices and tools (such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps) for automated builds, tests, and deployments.
- Solid System Administration and Linux expertise, including configuration, patching, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and security hardening.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), plus familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar).
- Understanding of networking fundamentals, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and security best practices in production environments.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in remote, cross-functional teams, with clear communication and documentation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; prior DevOps or SRE experience in a platform or product environment is highly beneficial.
