This factory-based director role oversees production engineering across electronics assembly operations. You will guide process design, recent product introduction, structured problem solving, and equipment qualification. The position also leads engineers while partnering with Quality, Test Engineering, production, supply chain, and design peers.

Key Responsibilities

Own SMT, AOI, soldering, coating, assembly, and test processes

Lead NPI from DFM review through volume release

Drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions

Plan capital equipment and qualify installations

Coach engineering teams and build shift coverage

Requirements

P.Eng. accreditation and an engineering bachelor’s degree

Ten or more years in electronics assembly manufacturing

Five or more years leading process or manufacturing engineering

Working knowledge of IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, and ESD

Ability to read schematics, drawings, BOMs, and Gerber data

Apply production engineering leadership, NPI expertise, and electronics manufacturing knowledge across Syntronic’s Ottawa factory operations.
