Dessert Fox is a welcoming and vibrant café located in the heart of Bloor Street West, Toronto. We specialize in specialty coffee, handcrafted croffles, gelato, and delicious desserts.

We are looking for an experienced, friendly, and reliable Barista & Café Team Member who is passionate about making great coffee, creating beautiful latte art, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Coffee & Beverage Preparation

- Prepare high-quality espresso-based drinks, teas, and specialty beverages.
- Demonstrate proper milk-steaming techniques and consistent latte art.
- Maintain quality, consistency, and presentation standards.

Dessert Preparation & Presentation

- Prepare, plate, and serve croffles, gelato, and other desserts.
- Ensure consistent food quality and attractive presentation.
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards.

Customer Service

- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, attentive service.
- Answer questions about menu items and make recommendations.
- Handle customer requests and concerns professionally.

Teamwork & Café Operations

- Work collaboratively with team members and support coworkers during busy shifts.
- Process customer orders and payments accurately using the POS system.




- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked café, including equipment, counters, seating areas, and washrooms.
- Multitask efficiently while maintaining high service standards.

Product Photography & Social Media

- Take clear, appealing photos of coffee, croffles, and desserts using a smartphone.
- Assist with creating simple visual content for Instagram and other social media platforms.

Required Qualifications The following requirements are mandatory:

- Previous Barista Experience: Proven experience working as a barista in a café or coffee shop.
- Latte Art Skills: Must be able to steam milk correctly and consistently create basic latte art, including hearts and simple patterns. A practical skills demonstration may be required during the interview process.
- Weekend Availability: Must be available to work both Saturdays and Sundays, as scheduled.
- Flexible Scheduling: Ability to work opening, closing, weekday, weekend, and holiday shifts as required.
- Teamwork: Solid commitment to cooperation, communication, and supporting coworkers.
- Customer Service: Friendly, approachable, professional, and comfortable interacting with customers.
- Basic Photography Skills:



Ability to take attractive photos of beverages and desserts using a smartphone.
- Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
