Job Summary

We are seeking a highly Experienced and detail-oriented Financial Controller specializing in Property Management to oversee financial operations and ensure accurate reporting. The ideal candidate will manage accounting functions, maintain financial records, and support strategic financial planning for our property management portfolio. This role requires a strong background in accounting principles, proficiency with various accounting software, and the ability to analyze financial data effectively.

The Financial

Controller will play a key role in maintaining compliance, optimizing financial processes, and supporting the company's growth objectives.

Responsibilities

- Manage all accounting functions related to property management, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
- Oversee account reconciliation and account analysis to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Utilize accounting software such as Yardi, QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other platforms to record, track, and report financial transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Develop and monitor budgets for property portfolios, providing insights for cost control and revenue enhancement.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of rent collections, vendor payments, and employee payroll.
- Coordinate with external auditors during audits and ensure adherence to tax laws and regulations.




- Implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud or errors.
- Support strategic planning by providing detailed financial analysis and forecasts tailored to property management needs.
- Stay updated on industry regulations affecting property finance and ensure compliance across all operations.

Skills

- Proven experience with accounting software such as Yardi, QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, budgeting, and account reconciliation.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately.
- Proficiency in account analysis and reporting to support decision-making processes.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members, vendors, and external auditors.
- Familiarity with property management accounting practices is preferred but not required.
