General Labourer
Join Our Team as a General Labourer – Shop Maintenance!
Supports daily shop operations by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized facility, performing routine equipment upkeep, receiving and organizing raw material, and preparing parts for production. Works to ISO quality standards and keeps product and material flowing smoothly through the manufacturing cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections of the premises and shop floor to identify safety issues such as spills and debris, maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance, including adding coolant and other fluids as required.
- Check chip bins regularly to ensure they are emptied according to material and available for production.
- Receive all incoming deliveries, operating a forklift as required.
- Maintain and organize the raw material inventory accurately.
- Cut and prepare material for work orders as specified by a manager or operator.
- Clean, cut, deburr, sandblast, and package parts as required, and run machines when needed.
- Support a consistent flow of product and material through the manufacturing cycle, maintaining a high level of workmanship in conformance with ISO quality standards, and perform other duties as required.
About You…
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training is considered an asset.
- Experience: Two (2) to four (4) years of manufacturing work experience is considered an asset.
- Certifications: No mandatory certifications required; forklift license or experience is considered an asset.
- Industry / Specialized Knowledge: Ability to use in-process inspection tools and perform simple machine operations is considered an asset.
- Skills: Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
- Verifications:
Successful completion of a criminal background check is required.
- Physical Requirements: Must be in good physical condition and able to safely lift at least 50 lbs.
