We are looking for a motivated and skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic / Truck & Equipment Technician to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and installing heating, cooling, refrigeration, and auxiliary power systems on heavy-duty trucks and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heating, air conditioning, and auxiliary systems on heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
- Install new units and components, including heaters, air conditioning systems, and auxiliary power units (APUs).
- Service, maintain, and repair systems from manufacturers including Webasto, Espar, Red Dot, and Proheat.
- Troubleshoot and service transport refrigeration (reefer) units, including Thermo King and Carrier systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and system testing.
- Identify mechanical and electrical issues and provide effective, reliable repair solutions.




- Complete installations and repairs while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and workmanship.
- Maintain accurate service records and communicate findings and repair recommendations.

Qualifications
- Experience as a heavy-duty mechanic, truck and transport mechanic, or equipment technician is preferred.
- Experience with diesel-powered equipment, HVAC systems, refrigeration units, or auxiliary heating systems is an asset.
- Solid mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- A valid driver’s licence is preferred.
- Relevant trade certification or apprenticeship training is an asset.
