Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Worker who speaks Tagalog to provide personalized in-home support for clients in the SE Calgary Langdon area. This role involves assisting seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those recovering from illness to maintain their independence and quality of life. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for caregiving, excellent communication skills in Tagalog, and a strong commitment to patient-centered care.

Duties

- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide medication reminders and assist with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe and comfortable environment
- Support clients with mobility exercises or transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Offer companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being




- Monitor clients’ health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare providers or family members
- Assist with transportation to appointments or errands if required
- Follow care plans accurately and document services provided

Skills

- Proven experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospice, or home care environments is preferred
- Strong knowledge of senior care, dementia care, hospice support, and working with individuals with disabilities
- Excellent communication skills in Tagalog; ability to effectively interact with clients and their families
- Compassionate nature with patience and empathy for vulnerable populations
- Ability to perform caregiving tasks such as medication administration, meal preparation, and light cleaning
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting when needed and assist with mobility support
- Ability to work independently while following established care protocols
- Flexibility to adapt to varying client needs and schedules
