We are seeking an Intermediate Bookkeeper to support the month-end close process and maintain accurate, fully reconciled accounts. Reporting to the Controller, the successful candidate will take ownership of assigned reconciliations, investigate and resolve discrepancies, and contribute to the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Prepare bank, credit card and vendor statement reconciliations

- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate and resolve discrepancies

- Prepare month-end schedules and supporting documentation

- Post journal entries and accruals under the direction of the Controller

- Assist with intercompany reconciliations across group companies

- Support year-end and audit preparation

- Provide support to accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll functions as required





QUALIFICATIONS

- Two to four years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, including account reconciliation

- College diploma in accounting, bookkeeping or a related field, or equivalent experience

- Construction or project-based industry experience is an asset

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel;

experience with Sage Intacct or a comparable accounting system is an asset

- Robust attention to detail, organizational skills and the ability to meet month-end deadlines

- Effective communication skills and the judgment to raise issues promptly

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
