Overview

We are seeking a dedicated part-time IT Support professional to join our team. This position is ideal for someone in the Algonquin Computer Systems Technician or similar program and wants to further their career.

If you are passionate about technology and enjoy solving problems, we want to hear from you. This is a part-time, hourly position and rate will be based on any relevant experience.

This position involves working from our office and may include going to client sites in the local area. This is a great position for someone to increase their real-world experience in IT systems while part of an existing school program.

Availability must be during standard hours Monday to Friday (8am to 5pm) and weekends but scheduling is flexible

Responsibilities

- Provide first-line technical support for hardware and software issues across various platforms (Windows and Mac)
- Troubleshoot and resolve desktop support issues in a timely manner.
- Daily alert checks and ticket creation.
- Utilize ticketing systems to track and manage support requests.
- Assist users with software troubleshooting, including installation, configuration, and updates.




- Maintain documentation of issues and resolutions to enhance the knowledge base.
- Collaborate with team members to improve service delivery and user satisfaction.
- Ensure that all IT equipment is functioning properly and assist with necessary repairs or replacements.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with users at all levels.

Experience

- Previous experience in a help desk, client-facing or technical support role.
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems is essential.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly at the user level.
- Experience in software troubleshooting within an office environment is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Fun, easy-going personality, comfortable speaking over the phone or in person.
