Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook hot food items according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety and hygiene regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
- Keep the kitchen clean and organized by washing dishes, sanitizing workstations, and disposing of waste properly
- Help with the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations before and after service.
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal food quality and safety.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines related to food industry standards.
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety regulations
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Commitment to maintaining cleanliness, safety, and quality standards in the kitchen
- Willingness to learn new skills related to meal preparation and food handling
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure cleanliness and orderliness in the kitchen.
