July is for you if you notice the little things, live with intention, love the wider world of wellness, and want to grow and build something with creative, driven people who bring good energy into the room.
July Wellness Club is a private wellness club in Etobicoke: reformer and mat pilates, yoga, meditation, and sensory wellness.
Help shape how we teach
Our Lead Instructor teaches and leads our programming: how every class is built, sequenced, and refreshed through the year. You'll work closely with our Creator and help us hire and grow our team of Guides.
Schedule: Thursday 7:30 and 9:30 a.m. and Saturday 8:30, 10:00, and 11:30 a.m. on the reformer, plus about four programming hours a week (about 12 paid hours in total).
What you'll do
- Teach our reformer classes
- Lead our programming and write the class plans every Guide teaches from
- Help hire, train, and grow our Guides
- Mentor apprentices in our instructor community
What you bring
- A comprehensive pilates certification (STOTT PILATES, BASI, Polestar, or Balanced Body)
- Two or more years of teaching, both private sessions and group reformer
- Classes or programmes you've created yourself
- Standard First Aid and CPR-C with AED, and a clear police or vulnerable sector check
Pay: $60 an hour, flat, for teaching and programming. Each class is paid as a 90-minute block ($90 a class), and training is paid. Benefits and perks: first call on new classes and private sessions, free studio use for your own practice, one event of your own each quarter, July events free,
two standby classes a week, 50% off continuing education (up to $750 a year), access to ring lights, tripods, and selfie sticks in the studio, cost-price retail, and up to $100 for each member you refer.
Our promises: every rate is published and the same for everyone at your level; every minute is paid, including setup, reset, and training; nothing unpaid, ever; your schedule in writing; no comments about bodies, from anyone.
Write us a Letter to July
Send your résumé and answer these four questions:
- How do you help teachers with different backgrounds teach one shared method in their own voice?
- Tell us about a class or programme you created from scratch. How did it change once real people were in the room?
- What would the first three months of a new instructor's training look like?
- What's your side quest? Tell us about a talent, skill, or hobby that brings you joy.
Please include proof of certification and tell us where you trained. Share anything else you'd like us to see: your social media, a portfolio, or the life you lived before (or still live alongside your work). We love multifaceted people. Apply here on Indeed, or email
[email protected] with the role in the subject line. Applications close Friday, October 30. We read letters as they arrive.
With warmth,
The July Team
