Shediac Dental Clinic has recently renovated and expanded with state of the art treatment rooms and is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Level II Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with dental procedures, and ensuring smooth office operations.

Experience with dental software such Dentrix is an asset but not a requirement. This role offers an excellent opportunity for growth within a professional and patient-focused environment with the possibility of doing orthodontics if interested.

Duties

- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments to ensure a safe and efficient workflow
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including orthodontic treatments and pediatric dentistry
- Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when necessary
- Manage patient records accurately using Dentrix dental software
- Provide pre- and post-operative instructions to patients
- Maintain a thorough understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental care
- Educate patients on oral health practices and treatment plans




- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times

Requirements

- Licensing for Level II Registered Dental Assistant from the NBDAA is required at the time of employment start date.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with patients of all ages
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry
