Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is essential in preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining kitchen efficiency, and ensuring exceptional food safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, experience in food preparation, and a strong understanding of kitchen operations within a restaurant or food industry setting.

Duties

- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Cook menu items with precision, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Assist with meal preparation during busy service hours, supporting the kitchen team as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety protocols
- Handle food with care, following proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene
- Support the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations before and after shifts
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of orders and smooth kitchen operations
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies,



notifying management of shortages or issues

Requirements

- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen workplace preferred; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and meal assembly
- Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills with excellent communication abilities
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or evenings if required
- Serving experience is a plus but not essential; a positive attitude towards customer service is important for interacting with guests when needed
