Job Type: Part-Time, with opportunities for additional hours

About Warfare Security

Warfare Security Ltd. is a growing security technology company based in Surrey, British Columbia, specializing in advanced live video monitoring and proactive security solutions for construction sites, commercial properties, and businesses.

Our flagship Defender Pro system combines AI-powered surveillance technology with trained live monitoring operators to help prevent theft, vandalism, trespassing, and other security incidents.

Unlike traditional security systems that simply record footage, our monitoring team actively identifies suspicious activity, communicates through two-way audio, activates security deterrents, and coordinates emergency responses when necessary.

As our company continues to expand, we're looking for responsible, detail-oriented individuals to join our Security Operations Centre.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Live Video Monitoring Operator to monitor multiple client properties remotely from our Surrey-based monitoring station.

This is not a traditional security guard position. You will be responsible for observing live camera feeds, reviewing AI-generated security alerts, identifying suspicious activity, and taking immediate action according to established emergency procedures.

This role requires exceptional attention to detail, sound judgment, reliability, and the ability to remain focused throughout your entire shift.

You must be comfortable making decisions independently and following established security response protocols without constant supervision.

Key Responsibilities

- Actively monitor live security camera feeds across multiple construction sites and commercial properties.
- Review and respond to AI-generated intrusion, motion, and perimeter alerts.
- Identify suspicious individuals, vehicles, and unauthorized activities.
- Activate sirens, strobes, and two-way audio warnings when required.
- Contact police, emergency services, supervisors, or designated site contacts according to established procedures.

- Monitor camera and recording system connectivity, including offline alerts and equipment failures.
- Treat unexpected system outages as potential security incidents until appropriately assessed.
- Follow site-specific emergency response instructions accurately.
- Document all incidents, suspicious activities, and actions taken.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and end-of-shift summaries.
- Communicate effectively with fellow operators and supervisors during shift changes.
- Maintain professional conduct, confidentiality, and situational awareness at all times.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and strong observational skills.
- Ability to remain alert and focused during extended periods of monitoring.
- Strong spoken and written English communication skills.
- Comfortable using computers, multiple monitors, surveillance software, and communication systems.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize alerts, and respond calmly under pressure.
- Solid judgment and problem-solving abilities.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and work independently.
- Comfortable working evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
- Previous experience in security, CCTV monitoring, dispatch, alarm monitoring, or emergency response is an asset.
- Basic understanding of computer networks, cameras, and security systems is an asset.
- Ability to meet any applicable licensing and background-screening requirements.

Previous security experience is preferred but not required. We provide training to suitable candidates.

What We're Looking For

We're particularly interested in individuals who:

- Take their responsibilities seriously and understand the importance of protecting client properties.

- Can remain focused even when monitoring activity is quiet.
- Don't hesitate to take appropriate action when something unusual happens.
- Know when to follow procedures independently and when to escalate an incident.
- Communicate clearly and professionally.
- Take ownership of mistakes, learn quickly, and continuously improve.
- Are dependable team members who arrive on time and complete thorough shift handovers.

Training & Development Successful candidates will receive training covering:
- Defender Pro monitoring systems and surveillance software.
- AI detection alerts and live camera monitoring.
- Identifying suspicious behaviour and security threats.
- Siren activation and two-way audio communication.
- Police notification and emergency escalation procedures.
- Camera and NVR offline response procedures.
- Incident documentation and professional report writing.
- Site-specific instructions and emergency contact protocols.

Training includes supervised monitoring shifts and practical assessments before independent shift assignments.

Opportunities

- Paid training.
- Part-time shifts with potential for additional hours.
- Opportunities for professional development.
- Potential advancement into senior operator, training, and supervisory roles as the company grows.

How to Apply Please submit your resume and briefly answer the following questions:

1. You're monitoring several properties when one camera system suddenly goes offline. What would you do?

2. You notice an individual entering a construction site after hours. How would you respond?

3. Monitoring can sometimes involve long periods with very little activity. How would you maintain your focus and attention throughout your shift?

We are looking for candidates who demonstrate responsibility, sound judgment, initiative, and the ability to handle security situations professionally.
