Position Title: Low Voltage Technician

Work Location: on-site, Vancouver Lower Mainland job sites

Compensation: Approximately $38.00 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)

Key Responsibilities

· Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot low-voltage wiring, devices, and systems in commercial and residential buildings.

· Perform installations of security systems, CCTV surveillance systems, access control systems, and data communication networks.

· Read and interpret construction drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.

· Install and configure low-voltage equipment and devices according to project requirements.

· Identify and resolve installation issues to ensure quality workmanship and system functionality.

· Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and other trades to ensure effective project execution.

· Work independently and manage assigned tasks with minimal supervision.

· Lead and support field technicians or installation crews when required.

· Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment while following company safety procedures.

Qualifications





- Minimum 3–4 years of hands-on experience installing low-voltage wiring, devices, and systems.
- Strong experience with security systems, CCTV, access control, and/or data communications.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Robust troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for assigned tasks.
- Good communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively with project managers, supervisors, and other trades on construction sites.
- Previous experience as a Foreman, Lead Technician, or Field Lead is an asset.
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Public Safety Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) and/or Cellular DAS.
- Experience supervising or coordinating low voltage installation crews.
- Familiarity with commercial and multi-residential construction projects.
- Experience with testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting integrated low voltage systems.
