Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Operations Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our retail process. This position involves various tasks related to shipping, receiving, and inventory management, and a blend of mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

- Operate lumber yard distribution equipment including front-end loader, delivery trucks.
- Perform order picking and packing to prepare items for shipment.
- Load and unload shipments efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Manage inventory using a Inventory Management System to track stock levels.
- Execute shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring accuracy in documentation and product handling.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on heavy equipment to ensure safe operations.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Skills





- Proven experience in warehouse operations or distribution environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Familiarity with shipping & receiving processes and best practices.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by operational demands.
- Experience with warehouse management systems for productive inventory tracking.
- Knowledge of construction practices is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
