XCEED Machine Works Inc., is a leading distributor and service provider for ROOTS Blowers, Gear Drives, Process Pumps and packaged equipment systems for industrial, mobile, mine and municipal applications in Western Canada. We are currently looking for a certified JOURNEYPERSON (Manual) Machinist with Red Seal endorsement to work in our Edmonton, AB facility. This is a challenging opportunity to work with and learn from a knowledgeable and experienced team of qualified trades personnel.

Brief description below;

- Manual lathe machining, horz. boring mill & universal milling machine operation to repair or produce PD blower, pump components and heavy mine shovel undercarriage refurbishment.
- Monitor the correct feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
- Review blueprints and specifications, plan the machining process, utilize the correct tooling and order materials for the job
- Demonstrate ability to organize, plan and execute daily workload to successful completion
- Safely operate forklift and overhead crane with heavy rigging experience
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and calipers
- Measure, examine, and inspect completed component parts in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, depth gauges with proficiency
- Provide consistent quality workmanship according to specifications with minimal waste or rework. Ensure each job component has a quality control check with dimensional confirmation.
- Perform preventative maintenance on machine tools in defined area of responsibility




- Follow the COR Certified Safety Program ensuring that all jobs are compliant with Xceed HSE program at all times.
