At Millworks Custom Manufacturing (2001) Inc. (MCM 2001), we turn complex designs into precision-built millwork and metal components. Behind every finished project is a maintenance team that keeps our shops, equipment, and facility running safely and efficiently. We’re looking for a Maintenance Assistant to support our Maintenance Team by helping with repairs, responding to maintenance calls, and keeping our shops and warehouse in good working order.

Reporting to the Maintenance Head, you’ll work closely with production departments across the facility. This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, mechanically inclined, and motivated by solving problems and seeing them through.

If you enjoy variety in your workday and take pride in keeping things working the way they should, we would love to hear from you. This is a permanent, full-time, year-round position working Monday to Thursday, 7:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Friday 7:00 a.m.

- 3:30 p.m., with the opportunity to learn and grow alongside an experienced maintenance team. At MCM 2001, we value loyalty and long-term working relationships, and we invest in the people who grow with us. Previous maintenance experience is not required; we will train the right candidate.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Assisting with maintenance activities in the shops and warehouse to keep equipment and facilities in valuable working order
- Responding to maintenance calls, helping identify issues, and assisting with corrective actions
- Inspecting facilities and reporting cleaning and maintenance needs
- Assisting with mechanical repairs on shop equipment and machinery
- Assisting with basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting under supervision, following lockout/tagout procedures




- Repairing and maintaining small hand and power tools
- Keeping maintenance areas, tools, and parts organized
- Following all company policies and workplace health and safety requirements

Our ideal candidate brings:

- Experience using a variety of hand and power tools
- Maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or similar setting is an asset, but not required
- The ability to read and understand technical manuals and drawings
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work well with people across departments
- A willingness to learn and take direction
- A safety-first approach to work
- Availability to work the full-time, year-round schedule on an ongoing basis
- Reliability, punctuality, professionalism, and pride in producing quality work

Compensation: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour
