We have been serving people for sixty-five years in Sudbury and are part of a world wide organization which began in England over two hundred years ago. In the near future, we may have an opening for the following position.

MANAGER - Direct Accountability Program

Temporary Full Time Contract

(32.5 hours per week until March 31, 2028)

(Salary range: $42,000-$44,000 p/yr)

The successful candidate will be working with individuals who are referred by the judicial system as an alternative to the normal court processes for persons charged with a criminal offense. Responsibilities include setting consequences for individuals referred, ongoing contact with the Crown Attorney’s office and monthly statistical reporting. The preferred qualifications include:

· Post secondary degree (preferably a minimum of a Bachelor of Social Work)

· Ability to work evenings twice per week

· Ability to speak a second language such as French or Ojibway

· Experience working with high risk populations

· Excellent mediation and collaboration skills

· Superior ability to produce statistical reports on time as evidenced by past work and references.

· Works well independently, is organized and detail oriented.





This is a temporary full time contract position with a possibility of permanency based on funding announcements by the Ministry of the Attorney General and is dependent on whether or not the staff person returns from secondment. We may not be able to offer a high salary, but it is fair and competitive in the small social service sector. The successful candidate may be required to share office space.
