Richmond Hill Walk-In Clinic

Richmond Hill

About Us

Richmond Hill Walk-In Clinic is a neighbourhood family clinic at Bayview Avenue and Highway 7. We serve patients from Richmond Hill, Thornhill, Markham and the surrounding areas. We are open seven days a week: Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Patients do not need an appointment or referral.

Our licensed physicians provide everyday care for the whole family. This includes colds and flu, minor injuries, prescriptions, lab requisitions, preventive care, paediatric care, sick notes and specialist referrals. Our front desk team is the first point of contact for every patient, and we are looking for dependable, caring individuals to join our team.

About the Role

We are hiring part time Medical Office Administrators for our front desk team. The start date is flexible, ideally in November 2026.

Shifts are mainly weekday evenings and weekends, with occasional day shifts as needed. Weekday evening shifts run from about 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Evening and weekend availability is required. Expect 10 to 25 hours per week, with more hours available when team members are on leave.

You will be helping the clinic run smoothly for our patients and the physician on duty. This role suits someone who is organized, calm under pressure and careful with details. The accuracy of your work directly affects patient care.

What You Will Do

Patient care and front desk

- Greet patients warmly, check them in, and register or update their information
- Book patient visits and follow-up appointments
- Answer incoming calls and make outgoing calls to patients,

including follow-ups on test results as directed by the physician
- Manage patient flow to keep wait times reasonable and the physician’s schedule on track

Clinic upkeep

- Complete opening and closing duties
- Tidy and reset exam rooms between patients
- Monitor and restock medical and office supplies
- Keep the waiting room and front desk clean and organized

Documentation, faxing and records

- Send, receive and file faxes, including requisitions, referrals and results
- Scan documents and attach them to the correct patient chart
- Keep complete and accurate records in OSCAR Pro, our electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Protect patient privacy at all times, in line with Ontario’s Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA)

Why accuracy matters: a mislabelled scan, a misdirected fax or an incomplete record can delay a patient’s care. We are looking for someone who double-checks names, dates of birth and fax numbers every time.

What We Are Looking For

Required

- Availability for weekday evening shifts and weekend shifts
- Strong attention to detail in data entry, scanning and faxing
- A respectful, discreet approach to confidential patient information
- Clear, friendly communication in person and by phone
- A team-player mindset: usually one administrator is on duty per shift,

so clear notes and handoffs between shifts are essential
- Comfort using computers and learning new software
- Ability to stay organized and multitask in a busy setting
- Reliability and punctuality

Nice to have

- Experience in a walk-in clinic, family practice or other medical office
- Experience with OSCAR Pro EMR (training is provided if you have not used it)
- A Medical Office Administration diploma or certificate
- A second language commonly spoken in our communities

No clinic experience? Please still apply. Paid training is provided.

What We Offer

- Starting pay of $19.00 per hour
- Paid on-the-job training in clinic workflow and OSCAR Pro EMR
- A steady part-time schedule focused on evenings and weekends
- A supportive team working alongside experienced physicians
- Free on-site parking at a convenient location (Bayview Avenue and Highway 7, next to Loblaws)
- Meaningful work helping local families get the care they need

How to Apply Apply through Indeed with your resume, and confirm your evening and weekend availability in the screening questions. Only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.

Richmond Hill Walk-In Clinic is an equal opportunity employer. Accommodations are available on request at every stage of the selection process.

Pay: $19.00 per hour
