Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Patrol Officer to join our mobile security team. A Signal Patrol Officer will conduct patrols, (foot and vehicle) for courtyards, offices, pools, and other high value areas while maintaining a safe and secure environment for our facilities and clients. This role requires a proactive approach to loss prevention, effective surveillance techniques, and the ability to respond swiftly to any incidents that may arise.

Duties

- Conduct patrols in the Hamilton, Halton, Niagara, and Peel regions.
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify potential security risks.
- Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, following established protocols.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to address security concerns or incidents.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations in a clear and concise manner.
- Provide assistance to site employees as needed while enforcing facility rules and regulations.
- Participate in ongoing training programs related to loss prevention and surveillance techniques.




- Consistently communicate with the Advanced Patrol Officer and or the Branch Patrol Supervisor to promptly report any customer or property related information and concerns.
- Provide training to guards as well as ensure proper protocols are followed when on shifts by all guards.

Requirements

- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- A valid Ontario Security Guard Licence
- A valid CPR certificate
- A valid SIN (Social Insurance Number)
- A valid driver's G license and 3 years minimum experience in Ontario required.
- A clean drivers abstract is a MUST and will be requested upon offer acceptance.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to identify suspicious behavior or activities.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergency situations effectively.
- Must be able to work flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Proven experience in security or law enforcement is an asset. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
