Summary:

Reporting to the Executive Sous Chef, Windsor Casino Limited, the Outlet Chef provides leadership and guidance to all culinary employees.

Duties:

- Coordinates department to produce high quality food service while ensuring production standards are met and maintained.
- Manages the goals and objectives set out for the Food and Beverage department and establishes goals and objectives for the Sous Chefs.
- Trains, develops and assigns job tasks to the culinary staff.
- Ensures food quality, portion size, eye appeal, temperature and taste meet the standards established by the Company.
- Controls and requisitions food inventory and develops, tests and costs recent recipes.
- Monitors and ensures food production meets established standards.
- Prepares employee work schedules.
- Performs daily walk through of outlet and makes notations of any deficiencies and/or health and safety concerns.
- Maintains and monitors required levels of sanitation/kitchen cleanliness and reports any maintenance requirements and/or health and safety concerns.
- Inputs purchase requisitions, liaises with the Purchasing Department to source vendors and tracks the receipt of requisitioned items.
- Develops, recommends and implements standards for pastry preparation if required.
- Complies with Windsor Casino Limited policies and procedures.
- Performs any and all related tasks as assigned by management.




- Upholds the highest standard of internal and external customer service at all times.

Qualifications:

- Interprovincial Red Seal or equivalent deemed acceptable by Windsor Casino Limited.
- Minimum four years culinary supervisory experience as a senior Sous Chef level in a multi-outlet complex or experience deemed acceptable by Windsor Casino Limited.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Experience with word processing applications, spread-sheeting applications, industry related software applications and e-mail applications.
- Familiarity with food costing would be considered an asset.
- Ability to obtain a police clearance.

Physical Demands:

- Physical effort requiring manual dexterity is frequently required. (i.e. between 25% and 75% of time on the job)
- Physical effort requiring light lifting is occasionally required.
- Physical work effort brings on a limited amount of physical fatigue.
- Must be available to work all shifts.

Pay: $67,751.00-$101,621.00 per year
