We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented part-time Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and order within our facilities. This job is only 20 - 24 hrs per week with the potential of more. They must be flexible as there may be times they are requesting to work more hours should extra work come up, there will be potential to move up to full time hours as we grow.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in various areas of the facility.
- Maintain restrooms by ensuring they are clean, stocked, and well-maintained.
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in accordance with safety regulations.
- If any maintenance issues are needed you are required to document them.
- Must know WHIMS
- Follow established cleaning protocols and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Crimanl; record check must be done prior to being hired. This will be required due to the facilities we will be working in.
- Prior experience in commercial cleaning or facilities maintenance is preferred but not mandatory, we will train the right candidate.
- 3 months probation
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, during training you will be with someone. After training you are required to stay with in your approved hours. There is No Overtime unless approved
- Good physical stamina; ability to lift and move items as necessary.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively, your time is key and you need to be efficient.
- A commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment for all facility users.
Job Types: Part-time, Casual Pay: $15.00-$19.00 per hour
