We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Kitchen Assistant to join our team for weekend shifts. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about food service and culinary operations, providing support in meal preparation, food handling, and maintaining a clean and protected kitchen environment. The position offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the food industry while contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.
Duties
- Assist in food preparation and cooking activities to ensure timely service
- Serve meals to guests with professionalism and courtesy
- Handle food items following safety and sanitation standards
- Support kitchen staff with meal assembly and plating
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
- Follow all food safety protocols to maintain a hygienic environment
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly techniques
- Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to serve guests courteously and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced setting
- Flexibility to work weekend shifts, particularly on Saturdays and Sundays
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Prior experience in the food industry or restaurant setting is a plus but not mandatory
Pay: From $15.50 per hour
