Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Punjabi Speaking Health Care Aide to join our team. This role is vital in providing high-quality care and support to clients in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Punjabi and possess a strong commitment to enhancing the well-being of individuals with diverse care needs.

Duties

- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide medication administration as prescribed and monitor health status
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
- Support patients with meal planning and feeding assistance
- Perform light cleaning and household tasks to maintain a protected and comfortable environment
- Assist with transfers, heavy lifting, and mobility needs using proper techniques
- Offer emotional support and companionship to clients,



respecting cultural preferences and language needs
- Document care provided accurately and communicate effectively with healthcare teams
- Follow all safety protocols and infection control procedures to ensure client safety

Experience

- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care environments is preferred
- Familiarity with senior care, dementia care, hospice care, or working with individuals with disabilities is advantageous
- Experience in caregiving roles involving medication administration and basic nursing tasks is desirable
- Knowledge of cleaning routines related to healthcare settings is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong communication skills in Punjabi are required; proficiency in additional languages is a benefit
- Certification or training in caregiving or first aid is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain relevant certifications is appreciated
