Position: Purchasing Officer (Animal Feed & Forage Export)

Wage: CAD $35.00 $38.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Types: Full-time, Permanent

Working hours: 30-40 hours/week

Benefits: 4% of vacation pay

Job Duties

Purchase materials, ingredients, packaging materials, equipment, and business services required for animal feed & forage production and export

Assess operational requirements and develop specifications for materials, equipment, and supplies to be purchased

Invite tenders, consult with demotic and international suppliers, and review and evaluate quotations

Negotiate contract terms and conditions, administer supply agreements, and award or recommend supplier contracts

Establish and oversee delivery schedules related to purchased goods and liaise with suppliers and internal team responsible procurement-related issues





Ensure purchased materials and services comply with Canadian regulatory requirements and applicable export standards

Monitor supplier performance, pricing trends, and market conditions

Supervisor and provide guidance to purchasing clerks or administrative staff, as applicable

Job Requirements

Completion of a post-secondary college diploma or degree in business administration, commerce, economics, supply chain management, or a related field

Minimum of 2 3 years of relevant experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain related roles

Experience supporting export operations is considered an asset

Robust negotiation, analytical, and communication skills

Language at work: English
