Duties

- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) accurately and efficiently
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and nutrition tips
- Assist in applying fluoride treatments and sealants to protect teeth from decay
- Collaborate with dentists to develop personalized treatment plans for each patient
- Maintain detailed patient records using abeldent software
- Support the dental team with assisting in orthodontic procedures or pediatric care as needed
- Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff

Experience





- Valid license as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations
- Prior experience working in a busy dental office setting preferred, with familiarity using Dentrix or comparable software
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and medical terminology is highly advantageous
- Bilingual abilities are a plus, enabling effective communication with diverse patient populations
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to make patients feel comfortable and valued
- Experience in dental assisting or general dental procedures is beneficial but not required
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a collaborative team
