Role Description The Sales and Marketing Specialist volunteer role is a remote position focused on promoting AUVSI Maple Canada’s mission, programs, and events to prospective members, partners, and sponsors. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying and engaging potential stakeholders, conducting outreach to organizations and individuals, and supporting campaigns that grow community participation. The specialist will help develop and deliver presentations, support online and virtual events, and contribute to marketing materials and messaging across digital channels.

This role also involves maintaining positive relationships with existing contacts,



gathering feedback on member needs, and collaborating with team members to improve engagement and visibility. As a volunteer, the individual will work flexibly with the leadership team to prioritize activities aligned with organizational goals.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders and respond to inquiries in a professional manner.
- Candidates should possess Sales and Sales Management skills to identify opportunities, manage outreach pipelines, and support relationship-building with members, partners, and sponsors.
- Candidates should possess Training skills to help develop and deliver informational sessions or briefings for community members and volunteers.
- Familiarity with marketing principles, digital outreach, or social media promotion in a technology or nonprofit context is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and collaborate with distributed teams.
- Interest in autonomous systems, robotics, AI, or related emerging technologies, and willingness to learn about industry trends.
- Previous experience in stakeholder engagement, community building, or business development is an asset but not required.
