Security Guard Healthcare

Paladin Security is hiring Healthcare Security Guards to support hospital sites across the Greater Toronto Area. In this role, you will help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, staff, and the community. We are looking for individuals who are professional, compassionate, and confident working in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service and communication skills, remain calm under pressure, and be comfortable responding to emergencies and de-escalating challenging situations.

Position: Healthcare Security Guard (Full Time/ Part Time/Casual)

Hours: Various 12 hour Shifts

Pay Rate: $18.70 - $22.61/hour

Overtime: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours

- Conduct regular patrols of hospital premises, including hallways, entrances, parking areas, patient areas, and restricted zones.
- Monitor CCTV, alarm systems, and access points and report suspicious activity or security concerns.
- Control access to restricted areas and ensure hospital security procedures are followed.
- Respond promptly and professionally to medical emergencies, fire alarms, security incidents, and other urgent situations.
- Support hospital staff during emergencies, evacuations, and crisis situations.
- Provide qualified and compassionate customer service to patients, visitors, and hospital staff.




- Use effective communication and de-escalation techniques to manage tense or challenging situations.
- Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity reports, and other required security documentation.
- Work collaboratively with hospital staff, emergency services, and law enforcement when required.
- Help enforce hospital policies, including visitor and patient protocols, while maintaining professionalism and respect

Qualifications:

- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence
- Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB-approved provider
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a healthcare environment and remain calm in emergency or high-pressure situations
- Ability to meet healthcare-site immunization and health-screening requirements applicable to the position
- Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB) certification, or ability to complete the required certification before onboarding
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Previous security, healthcare security, law enforcement, or related experience is considered an asset.
