As a Senior Applied AI Engineer, you will lead major projects for Maestro, nesto’s AI underwriting and lending engine. Apply LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, structured extraction, and solid API skills to production workflows. Your work will combine software engineering, data science, and model evaluation across the full lifecycle.

Lead major features and projects from design through delivery

Optimize agentic workflows combining rules, LLMs, and embedding search

Requirements

Five or more years of professional software development experience

Strong Python, backend, and API development skills

Hands-on production experience with LLMs and structured extraction

Background in data science, data analysis, or statistics

Experience leading projects or technical initiatives

Lead Python, API, LLM, and evaluation work that advances Maestro and nesto’s transparent digital mortgage technology across Canada.
