Senior AI Platform Engineer – Developer Productivity

We’re partnering with a leading enterprise organisation that is investing heavily in AI-powered software engineering and developer productivity . They are looking for a Senior AI Platform Engineer to help build and scale an agentic engineering platform designed to improve how engineering teams work across the full software development lifecycle.

This is a highly technical engineering role sitting at the intersection of AI engineering, platform engineering and developer productivity . You’ll build the tooling, workflows and infrastructure that enable AI agents to operate reliably across requirements, development, testing and release.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Build and enhance agentic AI workflows and developer tooling , including templates, gates and engineering standards.
- Develop and integrate AI agents across different stages of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) .
- Build integrations with enterprise engineering systems through MCP , including Jira, source control and CI/CD.
- Improve context engineering , ensuring agents receive accurate and traceable information throughout development workflows.
- Develop evaluations, guardrails, deterministic gates and acceptance criteria for agentic systems.
- Build and automate the infrastructure and pipelines supporting the AI platform.
- Develop internal developer tooling, including CLIs and workflow engines .
- Work directly with engineering teams to identify friction and improve developer productivity.
- Instrument the platform to measure adoption, engineering cycle time and agent costs.

What We’re Looking For





- 8+ years of software engineering experience , including Senior or Lead-level experience.
- Production experience building AI agents , including orchestration, tool use, MCP servers and context engineering.
- Experience developing evaluations and guardrails for non-deterministic AI systems .
- Strong background in platform engineering, developer tooling, CI/CD or internal developer platforms .
- Robust development experience with Python and TypeScript .
- Experience building CLIs, workflow engines or similar developer-facing tooling .
- Experience with infrastructure automation using Terraform or similar technologies .
- Cloud engineering experience with GCP or another major cloud platform .
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end SDLC , from requirements and design through testing, release and operations.
- Experience building tooling or platforms that improve developer experience and engineering productivity .

Nice to Have

- Experience with BDD/Cucumber, contract testing or mobile test automation .
- Knowledge of knowledge graphs, static analysis or code intelligence tooling .
- Experience working with AI coding and agentic development tools.
- Exposure to Kotlin, Go or Rust .
